I need MOAR.  CSI and Seventh Heaven are wearing thin.  If only House weren't unwatchable.  If only there were more episodes of Skins.

So gimme recommendations.  No reality TV plz.

NCIS > JAG.  NCIS has Mark Harmon and a goth chick as the forensic scientician.

If you like Skins you should try Shameless (if you haven't already).

No Dukes of Hazzard.  And I am not sure I can do NCIS or JAG. Unless there is lots of homoeroticism and/or terrible attempts at social commentary and teenagers fucking.

Sold.

There's a lot of this, for a British show.  Is it consistently worthwhile?

Yeah its awesome. I think it shares some of the same creative people as Skins.

Frank (cant remember his last name) is an awesome character.

And the goth chick probably isn't a Scientologist. Sad

To me Shameless is a lot better than Skins. Skins is too self-concious of itself. Plus it has a gay Muslim cheating on a converted white wife with an underage boy.

I am grabbing the first series of Shameless.  I have no idea how I haven't heard of this show if it's been on so long and been pretty acclaimed.

I knew about it way before Skins. In fact the only reason I knew of Skins before it was on TV here early this year is that I saw a billboard for it in New Zealand.

Hah, Shameless is awesome.

This show is actually pretty awesome.  I was more looking for things that are borderline embarrassing to watch, but this is good stuff.  It's like the complete opposite of Seventh Heaven.

Yeah it's not really something you can have on while playing WoW. Most of the stories tend to blend together so if you haven't been paying attention you may get lost.

I finally watched some episodes of Six Feet Under, and while I won't deny that it is very well made and performed, it's a bit heavy to watch too much in one sitting.  I don't want to go through a Cure phase.  Again.

Understood. I had the same problem when i wanted to watch Sopranos as it required alot of devoted time. But like other HBO shows, once you get past the first couple of episodes you're hooked.

Ok here's my last request:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnE3-0X-174" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnE3-0X-174</a>

Yeah there's a lot of bad episodes but there's some really good ones if you can find them.

If you want trash watch Neighbours or Gabriel Kent era The Bill. I suppose shows like EastEnder would be garbage as well.

Isn't that all pretty straight-forward soapy stuff, though?  I need a bit more than that.  I moved past my soap phase in college.

Neighbours yes, The Bill is not that soapy it's a suburban cop show so there's usually a bit of subtlety to it.  The Gabriel Kent era is prolly the most out of hand the plots got http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gabriel_Kent though they stopped making it so outlandish.

I actually meant to check that out.  It sounded pretty interesting, and it sounds like it's gotten some acclaim.  I have to thin out the backlog, though.
