http://blog.livedoor.jp/dqnplus/archives/1105519.html

lol wtf....
Stuffed full of bugs apparently

physics/grapple mechanics borked
slingshots that go through the walls.
Some arguments over it not being a port , it's a remake, so these aren't bugs, they are 'features'

Even funnier, the team that did the "remake" is apparently the same team that coded Culdcept for X360 (also a buggy piece of sh1t on first release, had to be recalled)

Popstation to the rescue!

uggggggggggggggggh wtf ?

I have the PSX version of this game.  It's fun.  There's a second edition or something of it that goes for RIDICULOUS prices.

Haha, I heard from NCSX that it was delayed due to a lack of consumer interest.

I've had fun with the demo, though.

I should point out that Mrs C was the one who raised the lol-flag on this one, she was browsing the 'bore last night and complaining i don't give here any credit lol.

Wait a minute... this game is not out yet  Angry

It's been delayed.

Quote from: NCSX
The PSP conversion of Umihara Kawase has been postponed from March 19 to an indefinite date in the Spring. Similarly, the PSP version of World Neverland 2-in-1 Portable has been pushed back from April 3 to the summer. Based on information from Japanese vendors, a lack of preorder interest appears to be the impetus for the delays.

They should've kept it delayed.  Undecided Undecided Undecided

More bugs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PtaxkYxk4I&feature=related (collision weirdness)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmxH4HbIFYY&feature=related (Kawase mysteriously gains and loses and gains movement while hanging motionless)

What a mess.  Undecided

Now, these videos are from the trial version. Is the retail version just as buggy?

Do NOT blame Omiyasoft for anything. Culdcept Saga was coded by Rocket Studios, the same fuckers who coded this piece of crap. Their website is here: http://www.rocketstd.co.jp

It appears after word got out that it's a stinker, it sold a grand total of 1800 copies on the first day. 2ch is really up in arms now because all the bugs in the demo are definitely in the final game. I bet Marvelous regrets starting this entire project now.

Culdcept Saga has screen tearing all over the place and even slowdown if I recall correctly, even if it's a PS2 game in HD

I never played SFC or PSX versions, but I've played the PSP demo a lot and haven't noticed any bugs. What should I be looking for?

More videos:

Rope fails to attach to block:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrhMsdozapY

Infinite rope!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnC11gTm9fM

Rope should break contact when being stretched by the rising platforms, but doesn't:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pkNC3J6wU0

Rope gets stuck to vertical surfaces, making it difficult to swing up to a ledge:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8t_A0dsZ1c

Here's a page in Japanese illustrating the major known bugs:
http://www32.atwiki.jp/kawasepsp/pages/12.html

And in case you have access to nico video, here's a huge bugfest:

Seeing how it bombed big time, I wonder if this will result in a massive fire sale of available stock?

No, it rewards you with ads from Mitchell, a fishing rod company.
